Harvey Claiming his Prize!

Last years photo competition winner Harvey returned to Helsbury last week and he had a great time.

Sally Jenkins, Harvey's human said: "When you said to us 4 years ago that once we stayed at Helsbury we'd keep wanting to come back you were right."

And the Winner is...

The winner of our 2015 Dog Photo Competition is this great shot from Julie Makin of her happy dogs Sam, Polly and Bailey performing some acrobatics at the beach.

Julie said: "We couldn't believe it today when we received the phone call telling us we had won the photo competition and a free week's holiday at Helsbury park. We just love the fact we can just go to Helsbury and relax in 5 star luxury for the whole week and the dogs are just as welcome than humans. There is so much land to explore with the meadows, river and pond for the dogs to play in and the pool and sauna for us to relax. This will be our third visit to Helsbury and we could never imagine holidaying anywhere else."

This is definitely the last entry for the 2015 Competition, we have so many to choose from it is going to be  a fantastic competition!

Bas Alberink sent these shots and said: "As you can see on the pictures, the dogs (4 of them…) had a great time on Trebarwith Beach and the chilling of Great Dane (Dotty) afterwards. This has been our third time to Marhayes in the last six years and it was wonderful as usual. Swimming every day with our four year old daughter was great and so was the gym at times to keep fit. We’ll be back again sometime in the near future."

Carol Bevis sent this message and brilliant pics: "We stayed at the Farmhouse in klate November, it was fantastic the house, the grounds everything was wonderful and our cockapoo had the time of his life the best holiday EVER he thinks. Playing with his Frisbee from Helsbury Park still gives him lots of fun. Thank you for making Helsbury so perfect for dogs."

Chantelle and Simon Smith sent these great shots of their dogs Beaker and Maoisy exploring Helsbury, Chantelle said: "We had a wonderful stay yet again at Helsbury in March. Beaker and Maisy loved returning and we couldn't have wished for a more perfect stay for our wedding and honeymoon. We can't wait to come back again."

Ian and Jenny Hastie hadn't been to Helsbury for a while, they said: "Jenny and I would like to say just how much we enjoyed our week at Helsbury, and we loved staying in Broadview. The dogs had an absolute ball exploring Helsbury and the beaches."

Jessica, the beagle x springer sent this lovely message with her photo: "It was my first trip to Helsbury Park with my family and I thought it was absolutely fantastic. We saw rabbits and deer on our walks around the fields and woods below our cottage. We explored a local beach and I even had a run alongside the bikes on the Camel Trail! At the end of each day I curled up by the wood burner exhausted – the best holiday I have been on!"

Rachel Hilton sent this photo of her very relaxed dog Sherlock, with the morning sun just rising. She said: "Just wanted to say thank you for such a wonderful dog friendly place to stay. This week at Broadview has been wonderful and I shall be sad to leave tomorrow. We have both enjoyed staying here and the dogs have loved it too. We look forward to returning to Helsbury in the future."

Jo Corner sent these shots of some very happy dogs, Beaus and Ollie, on Daymer beach which you will all recognise and Seth doing a bit of birdwatching from the sun room in the farmhouse. Jo said that they had "a fantastic stay, I'm sure we'll have trouble getting the doggy's back in the car!"

Claire Lloyd sent this review and photos: "This is our 8 year old labrador Dave who has visited Helsbury Park 4 times now (or is it 5?!) and absolutely loves it. This is our first stay in the Farmhouse, and it is a lovely place to stay. We love the grounds and the facilities at Helsbury, and our favourite places to visit are Daymer Bay, Padstow, Boscastle and the numerous small villages in the area. Dave had a major op on his leg last year so didn't make it in 2013, but made up for it this time and took in all the sights and smells Helsbury Park has to offer. Thanks Helsbury - we love staying with you and so do our family and friends!! Claire and Paul Lloyd and Dave the dog."

Manette Crossman and her family including 2 black labs, Archie and Hector, came to Helsbury in the middle of the most splendid September on record and said: "We all really enjoyed our stay at Helsbury Park; the cottage was fantastic and most of all it was perfect for our two dogs. The first shot is of Archie enjoying playtime with his frisbee on the Helsbury fields below the cottages (the frisbee was very sturdy and managed to survive the week!), and the second one is Hector admiring the sea view at Trebarwith Strand, the beach near Tintagel where the dogs had great fun playing in the sea."
